The English composer Anthony Scott died on 6 November 2000 in his late eighties. He studied composition under both Ralph Vaughan Williams and Gerald Finzi, and wrote a good deal of choral music, some of it premiered at the Three Choirs Festival. A modest group of pieces were published but much of his work remains in manuscript.
