Golub dies
David Golub, 50-year-old American pianist and conductor who became, with Isaac Stern, one of the first Western musicians to visit China, lost his battle with lung cancer on 16 October 2000. 'One of the most gifted musicians I have met in many years of music making.' - Isaac Stern.
