BBC Philharmonic webclub
The UK Manchester-based BBC Philharmonic has launched a free webclub for visitors to its website, giving subscribers the chance to receive topical emails from people closely associated with the orchestra. Once every two weeks, members will receive a brief message from either a conductor, soloist, player or member of the Orchestral management team. The emails will give a unique insight into the life of a symphony orchestra, and will include snapshots of concerts from a player's or conductor's perspective, sneak previews of recording sessions and glimpses behind the scenes at major events and on tour. To join the BBC Philharmonic webclub, email a request to philharmonic@bbc.co.uk.
