Benjamin Martin (born Melbourne, 1970) began learning the piano, cello and composition before the age of ten. He entered the Victorian College of the Arts aged fifteen, where he was a pupil of Alexander Semetsky and Stephen McIntyre. At the Juilliard School in New York he worked with the great American pianist John Browning (1933-2003).
