Early in his career Dusan Bogdanović (born 1955) received the only First Prize at the Geneva Competition, and gave a highly acclaimed debut recital in Carnegie Hall in 1977. He has taught at the University of Southern California, San Francisco Conservatory and is currently at the Geneva Conservatory. His work is richly influenced by countries of the Levant mixed with Bibayak of Gabon's pygmies; colouristic textures. Here and elsewhere the entire concert is alive with a myriad textual and sonic possibilities...
