Apart from panic essay sessions at university, my most memorable all-night vigil was in southern India when watching kathakali dancing. A fantastic mask still decorates my hall as reminder of the occasion. In essence it was a celebration as profound as this CD. My Russian limps rather, but I should greatly have appreciated a full text to accompany these marvellous sounds (others must take the trouble to consult the choir's website)...
