As usual, chief conductor Vladimir Jurowski and the complete complement of the marvellous London Philharmonic Orchestra were on top form [25 January 2012, Royal Festival Hall, London UK]. The audience had little idea of what excitements they were to undergo during the next two hours.
Jurowski's style of conducting is simplicity itself. His arm and hand gestures matched his fleeting gestures to various orchestral sections, where he can galvanize activity to immediate effect...
