The first sight of this Acuta score gave me a bad shock. I was under the impression I had dealt with all Elgar's chamber music in my effort for the Complete Edition. It has been a relief to discover that the work was available in the BL only after my volume had gone to press, though I noted the existence of the piece in my 'Master Musicians' book of five years later...
