European Archive

A large European digital library of music and film was officially launched on 27 September 2006, during Cross Media Week in Amsterdam. The European Archive Foundation is a non-profit organisation which makes copyright-free material available online. The database is currently divided into three sections - movies, recordings and web - and includes a large number of classical recordings.

The organisation has archived 250Gb of information, and is expanding quickly. Due to differences in copyright law, requests from IP addresses in the USA are being blocked.
