Gyeongnam competition
The Tongyeong International Music Festival Foundation (TIMF) in Korea announces the 2005 Gyeongnam International Music Competition, in memory of the music of Isang Yun. It aims to promote cultural exchanges between nations through music and to support talented young musicians from all over the world. The 2005 competition is open to talented pianists of any nationality born on or after 29 October 1977 and before 5 November 1990. The competition rotates between three different instruments: violin (2004), piano (2005) and cello (2006). Applications from pianists for the 2005 competition must be received by Saturday 20 August 2005. Full details are available online.
