McCabe award
British composer John McCabe received, on 27 November 2001, the degree of Doctor of Philosophy honoris causa by Thames Valley University, UK, awarded in a ceremony held at Wembley Conference Centre in West London. The award was presented by Kenneth Barker, CBE, the University's Vice-Chancellor, and the citation was made my Dr Clive Marks, FCA, Chairman of the London College of Music and Media, affiliated to the University.
