John Ruthven, the award-winning wildlife artist who is also from the Queen City, was specially commissioned to design the commemorative medallion that is presented to all the honorees. (The Cleveland Orchestra's award is inscribed as number 97.) Joining the Cleveland Orchestra for induction this year are cellist Yo-Yo Ma, the late composer Donald Martino, and tuba player Harvey Philips.

In recognition of The Cleveland Orchestra's induction into the American Classical Music Hall of Fame, the award medallion is presented to Gary Hanson, the orchestra's Executive Director, by Robert Olson (left), a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hall of Fame, in the Green Room at Severance Hall, Cleveland.
