Why, asks Cleveland's latest opera company, should opera be an expensive and elaborately hard-to-pull-off affair that puts a barrier between glorious music and fans (and potential fans who might be enchanted by it)? In an attempt to make opera accessible to everyone, the new kid on the North Coast block, Opera Per Tutti, has instigated a sort of 'hit and run' opera where the best and brightest selections and stories can shine forth on modest stages in simple, accessible venues.

Opera Per Tutti's latest production, Puccini: The Man and His Music, offered a series of persuasive performances of some of the Italian master's greatest hits (the ones that opera goers generally have to sit through a whole opera to get to), 25 and 27 January 2008 at the Solon Center for the Arts just outside Cleveland.
