The real star of this show was Viennese Baritone Paul Armin Edelmann, an energetic Papageno who held the audience in the palm of his hand with floods of warm tone and a true flair for comedy.

Rich voiced Siphiwe McKenzie, the memorable Adele in last year's Die Fledermaus, was a delectable Papagena. Daniel Borowski played the part of Sarastro well but had some difficulty singing its lowest notes.
