The other items on the CD are two more major choral works by Ramírez, his Christmas cycle Navidad Nuestra and excerpts from his Misa por la Paz y la Justicia, and five shorter choral items from the same part of the world. Navidad Nuestra will probably be familiar to many listeners, since it has been paired with the Mass before [listen -- track 11, 0:00-0:45]. The Misa por la Paz y la Justicia (1980) is in much the same style, with perhaps a little more refinement and flexibility in handling the forces and idioms [listen -- track 20, 0:00-0:58].
