Zachos Terzakis' Magistrate heralds a lot of sunny, bouzouki-folksy music that he sings with a Lysistrata now boasting a glorious feathered hat while a female chorus, all suffragette-like, wave banners berating Global Capitalism and suchlike in a general roundup of all the usual suspects. Things get a little polemical around here. Exchanges run : 'What was your purpose in taking the Acropolis?' 'Money is War.' 'We simply took the money.' 'So no more war!' And on to : 'For every evil....' 'Money is to blame.' It's all enough to get them climbing on the table tops; the orchestra express their excitement with some Rosenkavalier horn whoops and the Act One conclusion is upon us with the women, accused by the men of being, '... shameless old shrews,' bemoaning how lonely and deserted they feel.
