<< -- 2 -- Roderic Dunnett BEYOND BRUSSELS

Brussels boasts the charms of its old town square - one of the finest in
Europe, rivalling Prague's - and the picturesque row of restaurants nestling
in the historic artisans' quarter nearby, not to mention the capital's front
rank opera house, the Theatre de la Monnaie.

Brussels, and catch de Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp - another city with a superb
Hanseatic market square - or Gent, with its impressive old centre and famous
links with the painter van Eyck.
