Music Web Hunter
Ken Davies of the Denver Musicians Association runs a music search site
devoted to the best of major music sources - Music Web Hunter at http://www.dmamusic.org/musicwebhunter.
Music feeds my soul
Viola player Louise LaChance-Price's More about classical music is worth a visit. It's a personal resumé with some general
classical music links. This site is part of husband Steve's more-about.com - also interesting in its own right.
New Film Front
Ian Lace and Len Mullenger's UK-based Film Music on the Web now has a new front page designed
by Helen San (of Cinemusic Online - an e-zine for lovers of film scores), and a
complete alphabetical list of film music reviews.
Phenomenal bass player
The Wire called Corrado Canonici 'a phenomenal bass player', and
The Sunday Times (London) found his playing 'striking for the subtlety
of interpretation'. Canonici has a new website at www.classical-artists.com/canonicibass
Hidingplace
Listen to full-length streaming audio features and recordings of live
performances. Bloch, Berg and Bartok are represented, and you can hear the
Red Land Chamber Singers performing 'Ascendit Deus' (in the High School
section) at www.hidingplace.net (central Pennsylvania's home for recording
musicians).
Do you have a clean record?
Clean Record are in the business of selling high quality used classical
LPs. With an illustrated on-line catalogue (and a downloadable version in
RTF format), professional cleaning, audio checking and grading, a monthly
mailing list and prices shown in both US dollars and Euros, they obviously
mean business. www.cleanrecord.com
