Janácek's 'Kát'a Kabanová' impresses GIUSEPPE PENNISI
Kát'a Kabanová is one of Leoš Janáček's last four operas. Like most of this Moravian composer's other musical theater works — in my view one of the twentieth century's greatest — it is rarely performed in Italy. Over the last fifteen years, I've seen productions in Catania, Venice and Milan.
