On 9 February 2018 I was in Rome's huge Santa Cecilia auditorium — nearly three thousand seats — for a violin and orchestra concert featuring the baton of Manfred Honeck and the virtuoso Lisa Batiashvili. This is the second of three concerts Ms Batiashvili will perform in Rome this year as 'artist in residence' of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia for this 2017-18 season.
