Although Igor Stravinsky's parents were not particularly religious, they scrupulously observed certain important requirements both at home and in church. And the composer claims that during his childhood years he used to follow suit, albeit most reluctantly. Eventually he rebelled altogether, and up to 1926 religion simply meant nothing to him. Then, most unexpectedly, Stravinsky returned to his childhood faith...
