Korngold's Violin Concerto may not be the greatest in the repertoire, but Vilde Frang's performance with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and conductor Nicholas Collon (Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham, UK, 21 October 2016) was one of those occasions when you find yourself re-assessing a work.
