Get this disc: this is my best advice to you. It is one of the most astounding creative collaborations I have heard in a long time. This work for soprano, electronic sounds and shakuhachi is an opera, but not in the conventional sense. There are two sections of text: the first is set to progress in a particular way (but certainly not from A to Z) and the second part can either progress from A to Z or it can be broken into 'shards' at the discretion of the composer...
