These recordings were originally made for Denon and are now available on Dal Segno Records, reappearing after twenty-three years. This release is also the only complete recording of the 24 Chopin Preludes performed by Thibaudet.
Some may prefer JYT in seventeen assorted Chopin items titled The Chopin I Love on Decca (CD466357, 1999); but for the final three tracks this captivating Chopin 'spectrum' was recorded at The Colosseum, Watford, Hertfordshire.
The exceptions: Prelude Op 28 No 24 in D minor; Prelude Op 28 No 15 in D flat major 'Raindrop' and Nocturne in C sharp minor, B 49, were recorded at Hatchlands Park, Surrey...
