Judging from the first volume and the one under review, this new project dedicated to J S Bach's complete organ works promises to be one of the recording industry's highlights in the years to come. The second volume's programme is very different from that of the first, for while Volume 1 included six different genres or styles of composition, Volume 2 focuses mainly on the 'Chorales'. Indeed, apart from the 'Schubler Chorales' (six in all), there are three others, BWV 657, 658 and 720, thrown in for good measure...
