It is refreshing to hear an emerging young pianist in less well known repertoire, owning the works with such insightful and committed playing. Danny Zelibor, an artist to watch out for, does this here, on another groundbreaking CD on the innovative Toccata Classics label.
Tansman is not exactly a household name, but I have been familiar with some of his music since my youth, when I first heard Milan Turković play the Bassoon Sonatina. I also knew a few of Tansman's piano works and some guitar music, and remember his well-crafted and pleasantly harmonized output...
