This latest Semiramide brings together Macedonian-Greek soprano Myrtò Papatanasiu with Flemish Vlaamse Opera, Antwerp. Papatanasiu studied voice and piano at the Thessaloníki Conservatory, going on to practice with Roberto Coviello in Milan. At an early age she debuted with the Thessaloníki Opera in Monteverdi's Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda, after which she quickly gained international fame. She has performed at the Rome, Berlin, Vienna and Sydney opera houses...
