When Salomon Jadassohn died in Leipzig on 1 February 1902 at the age of seventy, his demise was hardly noticed. During subsequent decades his mention was only brought up on recurring anniversary days, and bit by bit his music started to fall into oblivion. His fame only rests on his writings on musical theory, above all on his Lehrbuch der Harmonie, which was issued in twenty-one printings following its first publication in 1883...
