I have heard a little of this composer before and was aware that he was one of the 'greats' to come out of the USSR (although born in Poland). Moisey Weinberg (1919-1996) wrote twenty-two symphonies and they are finally gaining some of the recognition they richly deserve.
On this recording we hear two historic recordings of superb symphonies played by their dedicatees. The performances are riveting...
