This is an interesting and well thought out programme of flute and piano music written between 1913 and 1959, with strong links to the Paris Conservatoire — some of the composers taught there, studied there or wrote major pieces for staff or students there.
Pierre Camus' Chanson et Badinerie sets the mood for what is to come. The Chanson is lovingly played, the rise and fall of the melodic line beautifully realised, the sound pleasant and the changes in pace well felt.The finale is really solid and well stated...
