Most Intriguing Music by Rameau - heard by ROBERT ANDERSON '... much sensitive playing from the whole team.'

I am wary of French harpsichord music when it deviates towards ornament rather substance. In this respect Rameau offends less than others I could name, and for most of this CD the keyboard instrument has chamber players further to control it. A main joy of the Pièces en concerts is the titles Rameau appends to the different movements...
