The Derby Cathedral home team of Peter Gould and Tom Corfield was joined by Derby alumni Christopher Johns, Sachin Gunga and Ben Bloor for what seems to be becoming an annual event (Derby Cathedral, Derby, UK, 30 July 2014).
Messrs Gould and Corfield got things underway with a flourish in John Rutter's Variations on an Easter Theme, vividly exploring its succession of contrasting colours and textures. Christopher Johns introduced us to the work of Leicester-based composer Jack Dawes with two of his Five Diversions...
