The German Requiem is Brahms' largest single work. Deeply moving, profound, and forceful, it stands among the greatest (and most frequently recorded) instances of choral music. Now we have yet another Brahms Requiem; this one with the wonderful Warsaw Philharmonic and Choir. Others out there include Ein Deutsches Requiem with (in no particular order) Klemperer, Karajan, Sawallisch, Kempe, Celibidache, Abbado, Furtwängler, Walter, Schuricht, Kletzki, Gergiev, Gardiner, Kitayenko, Giulini, Tennstedt, Kubelik, Toscanini, Davis, Solti, Hickox, Levine, Ansermet, Mengelberg, Rilling, Blomstedt and Haitink...
