At last; a welcome, belated tribute to Ralph Holmes (born Penge, 1937, died Beckenham, 1984); a complete, unassuming concert violinist and teacher remembered for his conspicuous versatility, outstanding musicianship and a limited yet invaluable legacy on record.
While still at school in Dorset the gifted Holmes played with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Subsequently he studied with David Martin (Royal Academy of Music, London), Georg Enescu (Paris) and Ivan Galamian (New York).
