Isn't it refreshing when an organ recitalist heads off well-trodden paths to explore something more unexpected? D'Arcy Trinkwon's programme (Derby Cathedral, Derby, UK, 25 July 2012) contained just two pieces that could be considered standard repertory works, and one of these was originally for piano.
