An appealing yet unremarkable recital by a guitarist who seems reluctant to give any details about himself, his background and interests, his instrument or even his age. The programme notes are otherwise, however, quite informative. Some of the performances are rather mannered (unnecessary rubato that could be interpreted as a technical shortcoming) but for the most part it is a competent and varied presentation that would give an academy post-graduate a worthy diploma with which to set out on a career...
