In contrast to previous years, the Richard Roddis Singers took a mostly secular programme on their latest annual mini-tour of Derbyshire (heard at The VoiceBox, Derby, UK, 14 April 2012).
On the evidence of his John Clare Cantata, we don't hear enough of Malcolm Arnold's vocal music. As a tribute from one Northamptoner to another, it takes six of Clare's poems and arranges them into a seasonal cycle...
