And for these short items, composer Tom Cipullo has chosen to set lyrics of Big Apple poet, editor and literary critic William Helmuth Heyen (born Brooklyn, NY, 1940). Throughout the bracket the composer is soprano Monica Harte's piano accompanist.

Heyen graduated with a BA from the State University of New York at Brockport, and read for a doctorate in English from Ohio University (1967)...
