Handel's 'Giulio Cesare', reviewed by MIKE WHEELER
The more I get to know of Handel's operas the more I want to know. His positively Shakespearean facility for getting under the skin of his characters comes across very forcefully in Tim Albery's outstanding new production of Giulio Cesare for Opera North (Theatre Royal, Nottingham, UK, 23 February 2012).
Vocally this is one of the most uniformly strong casts of any recent Opera North production...
