Now embarking on its second season, Nottingham Royal Concert Hall's Sunday morning piano series looks to be bedding down nicely as a regular fixture. This year's series was launched by South African-born James Baillieu (Nottingham UK, 30 October 2011) with a performance of Beethoven's A major Sonata, Op 2 No 2, that was alive to the mood of the moment, in particular a deliciously bubbly account of the scherzo.
