Andreas Boyde (born at Oschatz, Germany) studied in Dresden with Christa Holzweißig and Amadeus Webersinke and later with James Gibb at the Guildhall School of Music in London. His mentor and promoter was American pianist Malcolm Frager (1935-1991).
Boyde has appeared in recital as well as soloist with orchestras such as the London Philharmonic, the Hallé and London Mozart Players, a variety of European orchestras, the Bolshoi Symphony and the Malaysian Philharmonic.
His Brahms cycle was recorded for Oehms Classics in co-production with Westdeutscher Rundfunk and he has performed at the Beethovenfest Bonn, Prague Autumn and La Roque d'Anthéron Piano festivals.
Boyde gave the European première of Paul Schoenfield's Piano Concerto Four Parables, and the first performance of John Pickard's Piano Concerto...
