On Sunday 28 November 2010, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Conductor Laureate Esa-Pekka Salonen, played a concert of music by Paul Hindemith and Richard Wagner. The program opened with Hindemith's Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes of Carl Maria von Weber, a piece originally written as a ballet in 1940.
