Highly Dramatic
The Wihan Quartet at Kings Place,

My favourite string quartet, for the first time at the highly praised Kings Place [London, UK] with its all-wood surround. The programme [London Chamber Music Society, 3 October 2010] also featured the second of Schumann's three quartets, on this occasion 'a new repertoire first' which has been added to their chosen listings.
The unfinished Schubert Quartet, popularly known as Quartettsatz, was given a highly dramatic performance -- I thought that Leos Capicky's instrument was about to catch fire!..
