Although during the last four decades American music has started to make its mark in no uncertain terms, particularly in the symphonic and operatic fields, there are still many corners which remain relatively unexplored. The solo piano genre is one such example; so this CD from the American label MSR Classics is not only timely but also an exciting exercise in surprising discoveries.
